Top Chef 4 is already down on its last stretch as the four remaining chefs - Lisa Fernandes, Richard Blais, Stephanie Izard and Antonia Lofaso – travel to Puerto Rico for the first part of the season finale. Last week, Spike Mendelson was cut from the competition although many viewers were rooting for Lisa, who is also in the bottom two, to be the one booted out. There are strong predictions that Richard, Stephanie and Antonia would be the final three, for they have been strong and solid contenders since the start of the season. Lisa on the other hand, is greatly detested by majority of the viewers because of her “villain” image on the show. Also, her performance is not that impressive compared to the other three. However, if the said forecast turned out to be right, the show will be facing a lot of criticisms for failing to add few twists on the competition. On the other hand, if the producers decided to add some surprises and put Lisa on the final three, they would surely have a throng of irate viewers. The producers also insist that the judging is purely focused on the food. However, it was very obvious that during the whole season, the editing has made Lisa appear to be some kind of the antagonist among the contenders. So if ever that she makes it to the final three, it was very likable that the producers have something to do with it. This was also the case last season when Hung Huyhn, who was considered as the villain chef then, won the title.
