Based in St. Louis, Missouri -- the Rams are a professional football team that was established back in 1936 and became part of the NFL in 1937. The NFL has considered this team as the second incarnation of the Cleveland Rams. From 1957 to 1949 they played under the NFL Western division, from 1950 to 1952 they were part of the national conference and from 1953 to 1969 they played for the Western Conference coastal division. From 1970 until today they have played for the national football conference West division. Their current home field is the Edward Jones Dome, the team owners are Chip Rosenbloom, Lucia Rodriguez and Stan Kroenke, the general manager is Jay Zygmunt and the head coach is Scott Linehan. Championships and important moments: The St. Louis Rams have had a great deal of accomplishments in conference championships, division championships and even League championships. They have six conference championships under their belts, they were the NFL national champions in 1950 and 1951, they did it again in 1955 with the NFL Western and later on with the NFC in 1979, 1999 and 2001. They had a great total of 15 division championships that include accomplishments in both the NFL West and coastal division in addition to the NFC West division. To top it all off they have had 2 NFL championship participations in 1945 and 1951 and last but not least there were the Super Bowl champions in 1999 when they defeated the AFC Tennessee Titans by a score of 23 to 16.
