Malicious software spyware and adware detection and removal are easier said than done. Unless an individual is computer savvy, the unsolicited problems leach onto some other download and the user is none the wiser. Detection and removal of spyware and adware can be done at no cost. You can do this with the help of special programs, which will guard your computer against these threats. Do not underestimate malware � unlike spam (which might be unpleasant but can�t ruin your life, adware and malware can. So, what is the Internet user supposed to do, in order to protect the computer and safeguard personal information? Fortunately, programs are available to help. However, sometimes the fix can be more harmful than the problem. For instance, last week I got a free anti-malware program. Not surprisingly, the program discovered tons of suspicious files and recommended to remove them asap. But surprisingly, the �free� program didn�t want to clean all this stuff unless I paid $50 for the full version. I guess, this is called an attempt to rip off users! But this was not all. I closed the program but even then it continued to nag me with messages such as �somebody might be spying you�, �there is an identity theft risk for you� and similar. This was pretty annoying but still it didn�t make me pay for the full version. Instead, it convinced me that the solution was to delete the program. Imagine my surprise when a message informed me that access is denied! My computer and my files, and I cannot add or remove programs of my choosing! Want to bet? In the end, I had to do a system restore to a point in time prior to downloading the program that is supposedly designed to prevent such problems. This unpleasant experience motivated me to search for a malware detection and removal program I can trust. Out of the many programs I tried, Ad-aware came as the best one. Since my budget is not big, I am really happy to have for free the version from last year. But the Pro and Plus versions are not expensive and I suppose they have more features and perform a more thorough scan. In my case only restoring the system to a cleaner state was the fix I needed. For me the most unpleasant was that this program was just what one should watch out for when downloading freeware and any other software. It turned out that it costs less to buy a reliable spyware and adware detection and removal program, then to expect help from freeware. Finally, if you are a heavy Internet user, you can�t go without a reliable good spyware and adware detection and removal program. No matter how careful you are, if you don�t have the adequate protection, sooner or later you will get infected, if you don�t have a program to watch out for pests.
