`Tis the season to be psyched as networks are just delighting in tormenting us with the rollout of their respective schedules for the return of our favorite series. Not the least among the most awaited shows coming back in three months is Prison Break. For a while there, none of us was sure whether we would get another taste of Michael (Wentworth Miller), Lincoln (Dominic Purcell), T-Bag (Robert Knepper), Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), Mahone (William Fichtner) and the rest of the Fox River crew. As though just enough to send many of us in a near-suicide-inducing panic, there was that brief period when we though the jailbreak specialist show had run its course after three seasons.

Thankfully, we are once more upon an all-new Prison Break edition. Its fourth season is all set to unravel beginning the first day of September, via what’s certain to be a mouth-watering two-hour premiere.

We’ve been tattling on and off about the infusion of several new characters to the Prison Break tapestry when the series returns with its fourth season. Perhaps the most prominent new recruit is versatile character actor Michael Rapaport, who’s been confirmed to join the show as one of Michael’s allies (thank goodness for that). Rapaport is coming into Prison Break as a government agent possessing valuable inside information that could possibly help destroy The Company.

Alas, in tension-filled suspense thriller series such as Prison Break, where there’s a new hero, there has to be a new baddie. True enough, the coming new edition will see another foil to Michael and company, in the person of Cress Williams, who is all revved up as one dangerous and annoying assassin.

TV Guide reports that Williams, soon to depart Grey’s Anatomy, is the wretched Susan B.’s (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) response to Michael’s gathering of friends and foes alike to launch one final push to bring down Susan and her agency.
