Poole is located in the picturesque county of Dorset and is the world’s second biggest natural harbor. The beaches here are believed to be some of the greatest in the country and if you would like to own a property in the close by Sandbanks which overlooks Poole harbour, then it will cost you more than anywhere else in the UK. There is a great selection of restaurants in Poole, many of which are located around the Quay and most are of a very high standard. So you have the satisfaction of enjoying a meal while experiencing the beautiful views. Dorset has many attractions and all the best ones are a maximum half an hour’s journey from Poole. Opposite Poole Quay, is Brownsea Island which is an English Heritage Wildlife Preserve that offers many fair priced cruises around the islands that enclose Poole Harbour. If you have a fair quantity of money to use then you may want to consider chartering a boat and discovering the islands yourself. It is truly a captivating experience to cruise around all the sites in your own time and at your own speed. Bournemouth and Christchurch are only a stone’s throw away from Poole and they have all the most important attractions you would demand from bigger towns and have more activities than anywhere else on the southern coast. There are a number of theaters dotted around including the Lighthouse in Poole and the BIC Theater in Bournemouth which pulls in some of the biggest names in show business as well as many concerts. Poole also boasts the biggest leisure multiplex in the country which is called Tower Park. This colossal complex contains a huge selection of services and entertainment such as Bowling, Bingo, Cinemas, Arcades and many different restaurants to name but a few. If that wasn’t enough, there is Poole Stadium which is home to one of the top UK Speedway teams, and runs other events such as Greyhound Racing.
