Search engine submission - along with search engine optimization are two of the most costly search terms to advertise for. Naturally there is a reason for this, it is not only a very competitve market but one where a great deal of money back be made.

I have been dealing with on-line marketing for over a decade and have dealt with more than my fair share of search engine submission services, programs, and scripts. The thing I notice over & over is that you simply have to submit to the search engines like Yahoo! and MSN by hand. When you submit to MSN you are submitting to multiple other engines as well, such as Excite. There are many sites using Yahoo! as well.

Everyone wants a quick fix and looks to the services that offer "Submission to 300,000 sites for only $29.95". The secret that none of these services reveal is they consider a single submission to Google as a submission to roughly 200,000 + sites. They can actually do this without it being considered false advertising because a loophole.

When you get listed at Google you have to remember that hundreds of thousands of sites offer Google Search to their visitors. This constitutes a seperate submission as far as the search engine submission services are concerned. Naturally this allows them to give you an inflated figure when all they are doing is auto submitting your site with a form that submits to 5 or 6 search engines for your $30.00. Doesn't sound to fair now, does it ? Once I realized this, I sure was ticked off !!

I decided to go ahead and come up with a list of search engines you could auto submit to without registering. The one thing I kept in mind was the fact that a lot of search engines penalize or delist you if you use auto submission services. So the program I made actually shows you the successfull submission page so you can see for yourself that the submission was successful. This also means the search engines don't see it as an auto submission because you are on their page for a longer period of time than the 2 seconds auto submitters typically use.

I'm not trying to make any money here. This service is free to anyone who wants it because ... well, to be honest I am upset I was ripped off so many times!! I could have spent my money on SEO rather than all these submission services and programs and I would have been much better off. You, however, can avoid that mistake. Feel free to stop by and submit your sites (100% free, no catch or gimmicks) at My Submitter.

No matter what you do though, do not pay any money to submit your site to the search engines. There is not a single expert out there who will tell you it is worth the money. I hope I saved you some money by taking the time out of your busy schedule to read this article.
