Every woman of any age has heard about and probably talked about menopause with
their doctor. The reason we talk to our doctors about this is so we may have more
knowledge of what our bodies will go through later in life.

Menopause is a stage our bodies go through when our reproductive organs stop
producing eggs, thus causing our menstrual cycle to come to an end. No more
menstruation each month what a deal. Or is it? Many women see this as an end
to their childbearing years, and in one aspect that is what menopause is. In
another aspect it is the beginning of the rest of your life.

Menopause usually takes place around the age of 50, yet there are women who
have gone through menopause at an earlier age and other women have gone
through menopause at a much older age. The symptoms of menopause will occur
sometime before menopause actually takes place.

There are many symptoms associated with menopause, these symptoms include
hot and cold flashes, weight fluctuation, mood swings, muscle pain, soreness
of the joints, rapid heart rate, depression, heavy or extremely light periods.
Menopause symptoms vary from woman to woman and each woman should not expect
too see what another woman has seen during menopause.

Menopause is not something that a woman should fear, menopause is natural and
happens to each and every woman at some point in their adult lives. This is also
not something that a women will have to go through alone, you will have the
help and support of your friends and family through this difficult step in
your life.

The best thing to do is keep your head up and not let this change bother
you. As hard as that may seem to do, with a good sense of humor and your friends
you will be able to conquer this with no problem at all.
