As far as Lost seasons are concerned, season 4 may seriously lack in number of episodes at 14, compared to the above 20 episodes of the past three seasons. What it lacked in quantity, however, it more than made up for quality. As such, searching and selecting for the five best moments of Lost is, on one hand, obscenely hard, on the other, it just reminds us how magnificent Lost is, in terms of drama, story-telling, and overall quality.

Fifth on the list is the moment when Keamy held Ben's daughter Kimmie at gunpoint and eventually kills her via headshot. What makes this scene hugely astonishing is the fact that it was very unexpected. And in the same manner, Ben's string of reactions to the whole thing was priceless. Next is the moving of the island. Building up to an anticipated huge finale, one premise of the show that had Lost fans teetering is the fact that the island had to be moved. They debate on whether this was going to happen through time or space or what-have-you. And when the awaited moment came, it did not disappoint. The island vanished and it was spectacular.

Of course, we can't forget Locke's visit to Jacob's cabin, where he found, not Jacob, by Christian and a very creepy, baby-less Claire. Then, coming out, he tells Ben and Hurley in hushed tones, "We have to move the island." Another scene that masterfully stuck out was when Kate's baby was revealed to be Aaron, not her and Sawyer's. Finally, we have Sun, her baby, and Hurley's visit to what seems to be Jin's grave. As early as then, it was revealed that Jin didn't survive (or did he?) so Lost had been toying with the viewers all along when they show flashbacks of Jin that looked like flash-forwards. Sun eventually broke down in tears and tells the absent lover, "I miss you. I miss you so much," and one can literally hear applause and crying from all over.
