I remember a day sitting in Delhi Airport and was waiting for my flights turn for Singapore , a gentleman sitting next to me was seen very upset over the cell pertaining to dropping of sales in last ended quarter.

Everytime, he was just saying “you all person ………. are not working
properly, sales person what type of sales you are doing so that I have to go for door selling by going to International Market.

The experience of the gentleman was very pathetic, he was just in anger
even after his last call. The sweeper in the lobby was also fired by him for no reason. Even the persons sitting nearby could not control their eyes finding the person frequently.

This was not the very rarest of instances, but for the want of sales,
sales /marketing managers are always targeted even without knowing the fact what is wrong with them :
a) Whether the product is not proper
b) Whether the price is the factor
c) Whether proper market is explored
d) What type of markets suits the product

As regards to the problem pertaining to a) & b) , the manufacturer
,exporter and importer has to take due care since , these being very
intrinsic factor and can be controlled by them at ease.

Whereas, market has to be identified and explored by proper research and everytime it is the lack of information which mars the competitiveness since product is tried to be sold in wrong market where demand is less.

Selling the goods in proper segment and market is as important as timing the market, this is well known fact but hardly realized by the businessman and such small but very important factor for success in any businessman’s life.

If business is only done for profit and no one would have thought for
doing business to literally earn loss , then why money is wasted over
useless long travel to international places for the purpose of finding
