Much to the fans disappointment, the first season of Gossip Girl ended, leaving us with the summer break pondering on what will happen next in the highly anticipated second season. Kristin of E! Online recently revealed some spoilers regarding Michelle Trachtenberg, who guest starred as the little she-devil Georgina Sparks. Will she be returning to Gossip Girl this fall? Kristin reports that Trachtenberg has not been asked to come back to the show yet, unfortunately. "[Gossip Girl creator Josh Schwartz] has told everyone that everyone is coming back and that it's going to be like a crazy, wild cast of a million people," Kristin said Trachtenberg as saying. "So I'd love to, I think it'd be great fun. It's a character I've just thoroughly enjoyed...and pretty sexy." Hint hint--Trachtenberg does want to come back, but the decision ultimately lies in the hands of creator Josh Schwartz. The last season ended with the main characters breaking up with each other and hooking up with someone else. We saw Dan and Serena break up due to Georgina 's meddling, among other things, as Serena flew back into Nate's arms. Dan, on the other hand, found his way to Vanessa, who couldn't be happier to accommodate him. Chuck and Blair seemed to be heading out to Tuscany for a summer break, but eventually turned their attention to other things. Kristin reports that the future is very bleak for Serena and Dan. Chuck and Blair, on the other hand, may just be the recipients of the "Couple of the Show" title beginning next season. Nate will have someone new in his life, and Darena fans will be happy to know that it isn't Serena. Meanwhile, some news on the management side of things, CW President Dawn Ostroff is reportedly looking for a new job. This isn't much of an issue, though as Gossip Girl will continue to air in the fall.
